Marymoor

Yesterday, Westerly lost a cumulative 125lbs at the 103.7 Mountain Music Festival. It. Was. Very. Hot.

Marymoor Park is the largest venue Westerly performed as a band, and it was the first time the four of us were able to stretch out and PLAY before thousands of people.  Between the professional stage crew, production staff, and the incredible support of the other artists on the bill, each of the elements combined made time stand still for those brief 45 minutes on stage.

Highlights:

  • During load-in, witnessing Jackie Greene do a 6' free-standing ninja leap from ground level to the back of the stage.
  •
  • Hearing Kevin Suggs' pedal-steel in my monitor while thinking about how much music that guy is responsible for improving/producing (eesh!).
  •
  • Drinking beer with said pedal-steel player.
  •
  • Seeing Brandi, Phil, and Tim again.
  •
  • The enormous support provided by our friends, family, and fans.
  •
This was one for the record books.

Good times, and until the next time...

Welcome

Hi all,

Welcome to ANDREW'S BLOG.

It's June 4th, 2008. Seattle, WA.  Fifty degrees, and rainy.  I am at my neighborhood public library.  I am sitting next to you.

My bandmates and I are looking forward to an explosive summer of steady rock, sweet harmonies, and taco trucks as far as the eye can see.

Sincerely,
Andrew
